15.) Dominated by SOE

                   April 21, 2o16 - Once again, the SOE students dominated the large numbered ABMA students, in the Speech Choir and Ignite Competition. The ABMA may have won the ignite and the logo making contest but it’s the SOE who claimed the AVP and the Speech Choir Competition. The CPE 151 won the AVP and Speech Choir but we, the ECE 151 got the second place. What is it in us that make us triumphant, with our miniscule number of only 16, how can we actually defeat the blocks with more than 20 or even 30 students?

                   Unity is what really anchored us all throughout the English Term’s activities.
Most of the guys in our block are not so cooperative during practices but when it is game time they make sure that they will give their best. There are times that we have problems because they are not going to practices early and they also do naughty things during practices but all of those are erased because they gave all of their best when we performed in the auditorium.
           
                  Our practices never go easy because there are times that when we forgot to reserve a room, we are forced to occupy a room whose AC are not turned on. It is summertime and a room without an AC is like a few degrees Celsius away from hell.
         

                   We also encounter really big problems like: one of our block mates who has a very loud and energetic voice transferred to MAAP, also another block mate of ours transferred to JRU. But the biggest challenge that happened to us is the test that God had given to the family of one of our classmate. God may have out those challenges to us because he knows that we can easily conquer it with our unity and trust in him.
 
                  In the day of the competition we are anxious about our presentation. Especially, when one by one, our competitors began showing their amazing performances. The performances that really gave us the chill are performances of the first performer, CPE 151, and ABMA 151. One of our block mates even went downstairs because he thinks that we are nothing against these strong teams, but we still did our best and give everything we can.

                 

Our dedication and hard work became fruitful because we got the second highest award and for me that really made our day.
